it’s days like these when i feel like i’m dead
like the town i grew up in and all my friends
american football keeps telling me not to leave home
but i don’t know where it is in the first place
for one last time
i’m still trying to figure out
how things are
and how we got this far
but i’ve got my friends and they’re who i believe in
still my cardboard sign reads
at least i’m alive today
i’m just fine
i guess that it’s just my life
i’m sleeping in a loft in a freezing cold room
covered up in old t-shirts in a blanket made for 2
i know i’ll sleep well cause it’s almost 4am
and if i had to i’d stay up all night to be there for you

i’m still trying to figure out
